Airports mission to Southeast Asia

Jakarta and Manila, November 18-22, 2013 — The Canadian Trade Commissioner Service (TCS) invites Canadian companies servicing the airport sector to a business mission to Indonesia and the Philippines.

The development of new airports and the upgrading of existing facilities are major priorities for these two countries in order to meet growing demand among Southeast Asian nations. Indonesia is planning the construction of 24 new airports by 2017 and the Philippines features five airports in the government’s public-private partnership program starting in 2013, with plans to expand and upgrade many others.

The program, developed jointly by the TCS and the Ontario government, includes presentations, one-on-one meetings, networking sessions, site visits, and follow-up meetings.

This mission is open to Canadian companies in airport services, design and build, and airport equipment and systems such as lighting, navigational aids, communications systems, baggage handling, seating and other essentials.
