Feldan start in 2002 as an OEM provider for a lot
of large companies and distributers.
But since 2007, when we were launching our own brand
and distribution network through international.
Right now we are operating in.. around 36 countries,
so there's a lot of international market.
But not specific markets.. the first big market
we wanted to address was the United States.
And to be able to have a good penetration of the market,
the issue was to have a local connection and be able to talk
to the key opinion leaders.
That was the main focus for ourselves to develop and have
a new office there.
And the Trade Commissioner Services were able to help us
a lot and provide us with those issues.
So to be able to set up very rapidly an office and have
a good connection who in turn relation
with the Trade Commissioner in Washington, DC area.
And from that she opened us, our network and our address
book and everything.
If we needed to have the same level of contact and to reach
the same network of people without the services
of the Trade Commissioner, it would take us maybe twice,
or maybe three times more time then what
we have been able to achieve.
Actually, the value for us it's time and money so we can
provide good results and quick results
to our investor and the company.
Now, for the other market, we're still covering them
by distributer.
We don't have any local representatives there.
But for sure for that the day we wanted to open an office
and our own distribution network in those countries,
I think it would be the same issues.
We have worked with a lot of consultants,
private consultants, of this kind of company,
but didn't find the same level of knowledge and networking
that we were able to achieve with the Trade Commissioner.
I will say do not hesitate to contact the Trade Commissioner,
but be ready, know your market, know what you want to achieve,
when you want to achieve this.
The Trade Commissioner doesn't work for you.
They will help you work better and faster.
But you actually have to do the work.
