Registration deadline: August 31, 2025

Event description

The Government of India is investing about $80 billion to enhance wastewater treatment, reduce leaks, and promote reuse across major urban, industrial and rural areas. Key initiatives include expanding sewage and fecal sludge treatment plants, deploying IoT-based water quality monitoring, and enhancing operations and maintenance. This offers significant opportunities for Canadian water and wastewater companies—particularly in:

  • piped water infrastructure
  • NRW leak detection
  • predictive maintenance
  • STP design and construction
  • smart monitoring solutions

Canadian expertise and technology can support India’s transformation toward sustainable water management.

The Trade Commissioner Service (TCS) is hosting a Canada Mission from October 13 to 16, 2025, at IFAT India, featuring an exclusive Canada Pavilion. This is a unique opportunity for Canadian water and wastewater companies to showcase their innovations and forge key partnerships in India’s dynamic water sector.

While IFAT India officially begins on October 14, the TCS has added a full day of programming on October 13 in Kolkata. This will include B2B meetings, pitch sessions, and networking with Indian stakeholders and government officials.
