Canada at Mobile World Congress 2010

Canada is ready to take centre stage at this year’s GSMA Mobile World Congress (MWC) held at FIRA of Barcelona, Spain from February 15-18, 2010.

The Government of Canada, alongside its partners, is organizing a Canada Pavilion at this world-class event, which will be attended by more than 65 innovative Canadian companies and organizations. Canada is home to companies with strengths in a number of wireless areas including next generation networks, network management services and other mobile solutions.

Research In Motion (RIM) of Waterloo, Ontario, known primarily for its widely recognized BlackBerry® handheld device, is a nominee for the GSMA Global Mobile Awards that are presented each year at MWC. Now in its 15th edition, the GSMA’s Global Mobile Awards provide the opportunity to showcase to the world, the very best mobile services, products and initiatives that are fuelling and growing the industry.
