Export USA Webinar: Health IT - Everything you need to know about HIPAA and HITECH Information Privacy and Security in the U.S.

Canadian companies supplying services to U.S. private and government healthcare organizations may need to disclose, create, receive, maintain or transmit protected health information (PHI).

The Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and the Health Information Technology for Economic and Clinical Health Act (HITECH), mandate that all “business associates” of these U.S. organizations implement and maintain reasonable and appropriate administrative, technical, and physical safeguards. Non-compliance may have repercussions for your business with civil penalties resulting in as much as $1,500,000 USD per year for a single violation.

This webinar will provide intelligence on how your Canadian company, doing business in the U.S. healthcare vertical, may become subject to HIPAA and HITECH information privacy and security mandates.
