Invest Canada - Community Initiatives
The Invest Canada-Community Initiatives (ICCI) is one of the three components of the Global Commerce Support Program established in December 2008. It is designed to help Canadian communities attract, retain and expand foreign direct investment. ICCI supports non-profit and public-private partnerships at the local community level. The program follows three basic principles:
- Focusing on supporting the attraction, retention, and expansion of foreign direct investment;
- Work through partnerships;
- Sharing costs.
Non-repayable contributions range from $3,000 to $300,000, and agreements are made for a one-year period, from January 1 to December 31. ICCI provides matching funds of up to 50 percent of eligible expenses. If a community accesses other federal government support, the total federal support cannot exceed 50 percent.
Program Updates
The application period for funding of 2013 ICCI projects is closed. The next opportunity to submit projects for ICCI funding will be in September 2013, for 2014 projects. We invite you to monitor this website for updates.
