Linking In to Global Value Chains
Global Value Chains (GVC) is a new business model that enables small and medium sized enterprises to boost global competitiveness, profitability and long term sustainability.
The Trade Commissioner Service has developed a guide entitled Linking In to Global Value Chains: A Guide for Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises* to present the various business strategies or options which you might consider in your firm’s management strategy. Our intent is to expand your strategic thinking to include options related to GVCs.
In addition, the Trade Commissioner Service has developed a number of GVC reports, investigating multinational enterprises, their procurement needs and methods, as well as the business opportunities they might offer to Canadian firms.
