Trade Commissioner Service - Germany
The Embassy in Berlin coordinates business development activities for all of Germany. It has specific responsibilities across the German market for the sectors aerospace & defence and the cultural industries (film and TV production, music and multimedia). The Science and Technology (S&T) Section is dedicated to assisting Canadian companies and research institutions in transferring expertise. The S&T Section concentrates its pro-active efforts on nanotechnology, genomics and industrial biotechnology, as well as on renewable and environmental industries, focussing on biomass and solar energy. The Investment Section of the Embassy is marketing Canada as an attractive location to set up a business and provides potential German investors with dedicated support in establishing their operation in Canada. The Investment Section is focussing its pro-active efforts on the automotive sector, energy-related machinery and equipment, life sciences and wind energy.
