American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS) Parternship, Talent and Innovation Brochures

These brochures were developed in consultation with over 30 partners across Canada for the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS) 2012 Annual Meeting. These brochures tell the story of what Canada is doing to find solutions to global challenges in 5 key areas: Big Science, Changing Planet, Global Health, Digital Media and People. While each of these brochures provide a picture in each key area, they are by no means the complete or comprehensive overview of Canadian capabilities.

Science and Technology Sector Brochures

We are pleased to announce the release of a new series of brochures promoting Canadian universities and research excellence in four key sectors: Energy Sciences and Technologies; Environmental Sciences and Technologies; Information Communication Technologies and Life Sciences and Biomedical Technologies. These products were developed as a joint collaboration between the Innovation, Science and Technology and the International Education and Youth Divisions of the Canadian Trade Commissioner Service. The objectives of these documents are to highlight Canada’s vast research and knowledge capacity, and demonstrate how this experience translates into the development of technologies that have the potential to benefit the world-at-large. These promotional tools illustrate also the education offer of Canada. While it is somewhat geared to students looking to do research at one of Canada's universities, it can serve at the same time as a promotional tool for Trade Commissioners working with companies looking to partner with or invest in Canadian universities or research centres.

The brochures were developed in consultation with the four sector groups and the larger federal government science and technology stakeholder community.
