Visa, program and other important information


Travel Documents and Visas

An entry visa is required for all three countries. Your passport must be signed and valid for at least six months beyond the date of entry into each country (with available blank pages). An onward or return ticket is also required.

Riyadh - Friday, October 5, 2012

Afternoon

  • Business Briefing - Saudi Arabia
    Embassy/DFAIT officials will provide delegates with an economic, sector and political overview of Saudi Arabia, review the program and highlight important logistical details. Service Provider arranging B2B meetings will be present to distribute and discuss individual meeting schedules. (Canadian trade mission delegates only)
  • Business Roundtable led by the Minister of International Trade
    This session will provide trade mission delegates with an opportunity to have direct interaction with the Minister while providing a brief overview of their company and objectives for the trade mission. (Canadian trade mission delegates only)

Evening

  • Welcome Reception
    This is an informal meet-and-greet for all mission participants and Embassy/DFAIT staff. This is a stand-up reception where a light buffet will be served. (Canadian trade mission delegates only)

Riyadh - Saturday, October 6, 2012

Morning

  • Plenary Session
    The plenary session provides an opportunity to hear presentations from local experts. Minister Fast will provide welcome remarks. Simultaneous interpretation will be provided. (Canadian trade mission delegates and local business representatives)

Afternoon

  • Business Networking Luncheon
    This will be an opportunity to network with local business representatives. The luncheon is a stand-up event with a full buffet served. (Canadian trade mission delegates and local business representatives)
  • Sector Sessions
    Session 1: Education / Session 2: Health Industries / Session 3: Infrastructure
    Canadian delegates will hear from local experts in their respective fields. Dependent on the number of Canadian delegates registered in each sector, companies may have an opportunity to give a short presentation. Simultaneous interpretation will be provided. (Canadian trade mission delegates and local business representatives)

Evening

  • Business Networking Dinner Reception hosted by the Honourable Ed Fast, Minister of International Trade
    This will be an opportunity to network with local business representatives. This reception is a stand-up event with a full buffet served. (Canadian trade mission delegates and local business representatives)

Riyadh - Sunday, October 7, 2012

All Day

  • Pre-arranged B2B meetings
    Pre-arranged B2B meetings organized as per options provided to delegates by the service provider and any additional meetings organized individually by the delegate. Consecutive interpretation will be provided. (Canadian trade mission delegates and local business representatives)

Evening

  • Travel to Amman, Jordan
    Flight option will be provided. To be arranged by the individual.

Amman - Monday, October 8, 2012

Morning

Participation Fees

$1,500 CAD for Saudi Arabia / $1,100 CAD for Jordan / $1,500 CAD for Libya
Full mission: $4,100 CAD

For each additional company representative:
$1,100 CAD for Saudi Arabia / $750 CAD for Jordan /
$1,100 CAD for Libya
Full mission: $2,950 CAD

Due to the increased interest for this mission, a maximum of two representatives per company will be allowed to register. Fee includes all elements outlined in the business program but does not cover the cost of flights or accommodation.
