Canadian Businesses

The Trade Commissioner Service (TCS) provides key services to Canadian businesses.

To obtain a Virtual Trade Commissioner (VTC) page your organization must demonstrate that it is a member of the Canadian business community.

In addition to the criteria above, to obtain assistance from our trade commissioners in Canada or abroad your organization must have:

the potential to contribute significantly to Canada's economic growth and must
demonstrate that it has the capacity for and commitment to internationalization

Partner

To obtain a Virtual Trade Commissioner page you must work for one of the following Canadian organizations:

federal government or other federal government agency
provincial, territorial, municipal government or an economic development agency
business or industry association
educational and research institution
chamber of commerce or board of trade

and your organization must deliver programs and services to Canadian businesses OR pursue international activities to achieve objectives that will advance Canadian interests.
