Event Description:
The Global Energy Show (formerly the Global Petroleum Show), taking place from June 7-9, 2022, has expanded beyond its traditional base in oil and gas. It plans to feature exhibitors and presentations on energy sources, including:
- renewable energy sources such as wind and solar
- alternative energy such as geothermal and nuclear, energy storage, fuel cells and transmission
- more traditional hydrocarbons such as oil and natural gas
Other clean technologies, products and services will also be part of the show, such as:
- hydrogen
- carbon capture, use and storage (CCUS)
- emissions reduction
- energy efficiency
Related digital solutions will also be present.
Hosted in Calgary, the energy epicentre of Canada, the Global Energy Show is the largest platform showcasing innovation and technology that can help meet an increasing energy demand while countries transition to a lower-carbon economy.
The Canadian Trade Commissioner Service (TCS) will be participating in the Global Energy Show to help Canadian companies connect with international buyers. The TCS will have a booth (#1057) where Canadian companies can meet with international buyers, and will host an Export Café on June 6, 2022, where Canadian companies can meet with Trade Commissioners from around the world to gain insight on opportunities in their markets.
The TCS helps Canadian companies navigate the complexities of international markets. With 1,000 trade commissioners in offices across Canada and on the ground in more than 160 cities worldwide, the TCS offers market intelligence and an unmatched network of contacts to help Canadian companies succeed abroad.

- Register for our meeting platform if you would like to meet with Trade Commissioners from over 20 markets around the world and/or are interested in our matchmaking program to meet with international buyers
- These programs are for Canadian companies in the energy and clean technology sectors as well as companies with relevant offerings in related sectors such as infrastructure, ICT and education, aiming to increase exports and who:
- supply products, technologies, and services with a clearly articulated value proposition and competitive advantage;
- demonstrate capacity and commitment to entering international markets;
- have researched specific country markets, developed a market entry strategy, and/or are doing business development or have customers in markets abroad.
