Season’s greetings from the Trade Commissioner Service!
We would like to wish you and yours a safe and happy holiday season. It has been a big year for the Canadian Trade Commissioner Service (TCS), where we have shared information with you about its funding and support programs (including the new Exporter Solutions service), and showed you how the TCS is helping exporters find new opportunities to connect with customers abroad. We have also enjoyed reporting on trade‑ and export‑related news of interest to you and tens of thousands of our subscribers. Before this year is over, we have one last issue of CanadExport for your reading pleasure in December.
Shopping and gift giving are a big part of the holiday season. That’s why in this holiday edition of CanadExport, we bring you stories that highlight how Canadian products are finding success with consumers abroad. We begin with a feature article on the TCS’s efforts to help Canadian wine, beer and spirit producers gain recognition and sales abroad. Next, we take a look at exports of Canadian Christmas trees. And finally, we present the story of a Canadian maker of organic skin-care products that has expanded its international reach with the support of the TCS.
But that’s not all. We also take you to Dubai, where Expo 2020 is nearing the halfway mark. As you can read in this article, Canadian expertise is on display throughout the Expo — in both the Canada Pavilion and across the event site as a whole. And with our focus, and the world’s, on Dubai, we take the opportunity to shed light on Canada’s contributions to the tallest building on the planet: the Burj Khalifa.
So sit back and enjoy this edition of our magazine, and thank you for choosing to spend some time with us this year. We have exciting things planned for our readers in 2022. In the meantime, best wishes and happy holidays from the CanadExport team and all of us at the TCS!
