“One of the things companies aren’t always aware of is how much the Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement (CETA) has increased their access to European public procurement markets. Foreign public procurement markets represent hundreds of billions of euros annually and offer Canadian exporters considerable opportunities. CETA guarantees that Canadian suppliers of products and services are treated in an open, transparent and non-discriminatory way when they sell to European countries. EU public procurement markets alone are estimated to be worth some $3.3 trillion a year.”
