New York Energy Security Canadian Technology Accelerator

New York City is a growing energy hub. As one of the leading financial and innovation centers in the world, it supports a dynamic ecosystem of clean and renewable energy companies, investors, and policy frameworks driving the energy transition. Investors in New York, spanning early-stage ventures to large global infrastructure funds, are optimistic about energy security innovations. With electricity demand in New York City comparable to the entire consumption of small countries and rapidly growing, the regional electric grid (NYISO) is in critical need of technologies to help meet demand.

The Canadian Technology Accelerator (CTA) program will concentrate in New York State, where energy policy and procurement programs are driving rapid deployment needs. The program will lead to in-person programming in New York City during Climate Week NYC,  the world’s largest annual climate focused event. The CTA will not only provide expert mentoring and training but also arrange curated meetings and sessions with potential buyers, investors, channel partners and other key stakeholders.

In addition to New York (NY), the program will offer optional in-market add-ons for companies whose solutions align with similar opportunities in New Jersey, Connecticut, and Pennsylvania.

Opportunities for Canadian companies in the United States/New York market

New York City is one of the world's leading hubs for early-stage climate technology. It offers opportunities for Canadian clean energy technology companies to access funding, pilot projects, customers and policy-driven demand as they expand into the United States (U.S.) market.

The CTA global business development program provides the market insights, business connections and support needed to help participants successfully enter and grow within this dynamic clean energy ecosystem.
