Taipei hard tech Canadian Technology Accelerator

Are you an innovative hard tech developer seeking new business ventures and markets? Looking to commercialize or expand in the Indo-Pacific?

The Canadian Technology Accelerator (CTA) in Taipei is recruiting companies specializing in hard tech across various sub-sectors. Through this business development program, you’ll:

  • gain access to leading global information and communications technology (ICT) companies
  • validate your technology
  • benefit from strategic partnerships with key Taiwanese industry leaders

Hard tech refers to technologies involving complex physical components or hardware, often relying on advanced materials, emerging technologies and deep engineering. Historically, innovations in hard tech have been capital-intensive, requiring substantial investment to develop and commercialize.

Taiwan’s highly interconnected ICT industry includes global players in:

  • semiconductors
  • aerospace, robotics
  • advanced communications
  • healthcare

Its strength in hardware manufacturing creates an ideal environment for Canadian innovators offering complementary software and deep-tech solutions to integrate with next-generation hardware.

Continued investment and international partnerships are driven by growing demand for artificial intelligence and cloud infrastructure, positioning Taiwan as a leader in deep technology advancements across sectors. This demand pairs well with Canada’s flourishing hard tech ecosystem and cutting-edge R&D capabilities, where small and medium-sized tech firms excel in fields such as advanced manufacturing, clean energy solutions and materials science.
