Who should apply: 

  • Canadian companies with bankable projects worth at least US$100 million in Africa, for which all key studies (feasibility, market, environmental, financial, etc.) have been completed, and which are seeking to raise financing or achieve financial closure.
  • Pension funds, venture capital firms, private equity funds, and other financial institutions looking to diversify their investment portfolios into African markets.

Event description

The Canadian Trade Commissioner Service (TCS) will support Canadian participation at the Africa Investment Forum 2025 to enhance Canada’s visibility and foster lasting relationships between Canadian companies, investors, and African financial institutions.

Drawing on its partners, expertise and networks with the African Development Bank, the TCS will help Canadian companies better position their projects, identify strategic partners, and access new investment opportunities.

Participating companies will benefit from personalized support and privileged access to networking activities. This will allow businesses to showcase their expertise and increase their chances of securing financial and commercial partnerships in Africa.

Please note that participation in the Africa Investment Forum (AIF) is by invitation only from the African Development Bank (AfDB).

Interested Canadian companies are invited to contact the Trade Commissioner Service team at the Embassy of Canada to Côte d’Ivoire, in Abidjan.
