The Canadian Trade Commissioner Service (TCS) at the Consulate General of Canada in Guangzhou invites Canadian companies in the design, construction and home décor sectors to participate in the Canadian Pavilion at Guangzhou Design Week 2025, taking place from December 5 to 8, 2025.
Guangzhou Design Week (GZDW) is an annual business-to-business (B2B) Design and Brands Expo showcasing innovation and excellence in interior design, construction, and home décor. Recognized as one of the most influential tradeshows in Mainland China, it offers a key platform to connect with interior designers, architects, and project owners. It also plays a vital role in boosting brand visibility and helping companies identify potential business partners, including distributors and agents.
In 2024, GZDW attracted over 450,000 visitors from across China. Attendee composition included 66% designers, 16.7% distributors, 7.8% project owners, and 4.6% contractors.
TCS program: Canadian pavilion options
The Consulate General of Canada in Guangzhou will coordinate a Canada-branded Pavilion at GZDW 2025, offering three levels of participation:
1. Corporate booths (in-person)
Canadian companies can set up self-funded, standalone booths under the Canada banner, with access to premium exhibition locations and full GZDW benefits.
- Raw space: 1800 RMB/sqm
- Estimated booth construction: 2200–2500 RMB/sqm
- The Consulate will oversee the Pavilion layout and select the contractor. Participating companies will liaise directly with the contractor for booth design and are responsible for all associated costs.
2. Exhibition stands at TCS booth (in-person)
The TCS will also organize a shared booth (15–30 sqm) featuring 3–5 mini-stands (approx. 4–5 sqm each) for Canadian companies.
- Cost per company stand: 12,000–15,000 RMB, with 25–30% of booth costs covered by the Consulate.
- Limited availability — stands will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.
3. Material display at TCS booth (virtual)
For companies unable to attend in person, the TCS offers a virtual display option.
- No cost for participation
- Companies may provide brochures, videos, samples, and other promotional materials
- TCS staff will share basic market feedback and relevant business contacts following the event
- Materials must be submitted ready for display

Testimonials
“The Canadian Pavilion at Guangzhou Design Week in Dec 2024, has enhanced our company's brand awareness. Our company established connection with 30 companies with potential for in-depth cooperation. These companies are mainly from the construction and decoration industry and are material sales companies and design companies in the industry, as well as architectural design general contractors. We look forward to joining the Canadian Pavilion coordinated by the Trade Commissioner Service again in 2025.”
“During the exhibition, we got connected with about 40 companies, mainly home decoration companies and interior design companies. We identified about 10 of them having clear cooperation intentions and would follow up afterwards. We’d like to continue to exhibit at Guangzhou Design Week in the form of country pavilion in 2025.”
