Event description
The Trade Commissioner Service (TCS) and the Embassy of Canada to Kazakhstan are organizing a targeted business program in Astana alongside the country’s leading health conference. This initiative aims to help Canadian life sciences companies explore the Kazakh market. Curated engagements will help key stakeholders identify real commercial opportunities.
This program is delivered in collaboration with the Businesswomen Association of Kazakhstan, one of the country’s most established national business networks. The association is active across all provinces and has many members in the life sciences sector. It plays a vital role in promoting women’s economic participation and supporting business development throughout Kazakhstan.
Kazakhstan is the second-largest market in Central Asia, and its healthcare system is undergoing major modernization. The government has committed significant funding to improve service delivery, expand infrastructure, and adopt advanced technologies. Priority areas for development include:
- oncology, diabetes, cardiovascular and neurological care
- fertility treatment
- pharmaceuticals and medical devices
- digital health, diagnostics, and hospital management
- preventive health and natural products
The market includes major public buyers and a fast-growing private sector of over 5,000 clinics. Many of these clinics are seeking innovative solutions to improve patient outcomes and differentiate their services.
