Event description

FITA2026 will take place in Tunis, Tunisia, April 28 to 29, 2026. FITA is a major annual event for Africa’s business, finance, investment and trade sectors. 

Over these 2 days, the event will welcome over 3,000 participants from 65 countries, including: 

  • ministers
  • business leaders
  • policy-makers
  • development institutes
  • private investors

FITA2026 will include the following:

  • 10 ministers in a dedicated panel
  • 240 stakeholders
  • 7 workshops
  • 3,000 partnership meetings (between businesses and with governments) 
  • 100 exhibitors 
  • 10 investment promotion sessions

The Trade Commissioner Service (TCS) in Tunisia will take part in FITA2026 and will recruit a delegation of Canadian companies working in a variety of sectors. Canada will be the featured non-African country at this year’s edition, which will focus on trade opportunities in sub-Saharan Africa, especially through partnerships with Tunisian businesses. Canadian businesses can be exhibitors in the Canada pavilion.

Participating businesses will also have access to a side program that the TCS has organized in Tunis. The purpose of this side program is to help participants to better understand the business ecosystem in Tunisia and to explore opportunities to set up in the country and develop a network of contacts.

  • February 15, 2026 – deadline for registration 
  • March 2, 2026 – businesses’ participation in FITA2026 will be confirmed 
  • March 20, 2026 – selection of targets and matchmaking will begin
