Event description

The Trade Commissioner Service (TCS) is organising a Canadian ICT mission to Southeast Asia, taking place on the margins of Asia Tech x Singapore (ATxSG) 2026. This includes value-added programming in Singapore, along with a specialized Tech Twin track for selected Canadian AI companies exploring opportunities in both Singapore and Thailand.

The mission is designed to help Canadian companies accelerate partnerships, strengthen visibility, and engage directly with the region’s most active buyers and ecosystem partners.

Program highlights

TCS business program at ATxSG

The TCS business program at ATxSG 2026 includes:

  • business-to-business (B2B) matchmaking
  • sector briefings
  • curated market insights
  • access to the Canada Pavilion

Tech Twin programming

 May 19 to 26, 2026 (in person in Singapore and Thailand)

This program is designed for a limited cohort of AI-enabled ICT companies and includes:

  • in-depth engagement with telecom operators
  • meetings with system integrators
  • access to digital infrastructure stakeholders across Singapore and Thailand

Singapore is a global hub for next‑generation connectivity, digital infrastructure, and advanced telecommunications. The market is supported by long‑term government planning such as the country’s Digital Connectivity Blueprint. As host of ATxSG, Singapore brings together regional and international decision‑makers shaping Asia’s digital transformation, making it an ideal gateway into the broader Indo‑Pacific landscape.

Why Thailand

Thailand is one of Southeast Asia’s fastest‑growing digital economies, supported by national strategies such as Thailand 4.0. The country offers a dynamic and strategic market for Canadian ICT companies. The Thai government is investing heavily in 5G, AI‑enabled capabilities, and digital workforce development. Major telecom operators, system integrators, and industry partners are also actively investing in resilient networks, AI‑enabled systems, and future‑ready connectivity.  

Additional information

  • The TCS has secured a booth space at ATxSG 2026, which will be available as a meeting venue for participating Canadian companies
  • There is no fee to participate in the TCS programming
  • Participants are responsible for their own travel expenses, including airfare, accommodations, and meals
