Event description

The Canada-Türkiye Sustainability Challenge is a unique opportunity for Canadian innovators to promote their technology on an international-scale. Selected participants will also have the opportunity to visit Türkiye in person to pursue advanced discussions with major Turkish corporations looking to advance their innovation and sustainability goals. The initiative is a concrete, proven and effective way to test solutions with global companies, while positioning these Canadian innovators in a thriving economic region.

This initiative aims to increase the sustainability, productivity, competitiveness, and social impact of participating Turkish corporations through collaboration with Canadian companies offering solutions to their defined “challenges”. The program includes a dedicated proof of concept (PoC) phase where selected startups and Turkish corporations can engage in structured pilot implementations with a reserved budget to validate solutions.

The challenges for this year’s program fall under the following 3 categories:

  • carbon emissions solutions, environmental, social, and governance (ESG) data and sustainability management platforms
  • circular waste, water and energy transition solutions
  • health, safety, and environment, smart operations and industrial digitalization solutions
