The Trade Commissioner Service (TCS), with support from the governments of Ontario and Quebec, is organizing a business delegation to Southeast Asia in June 2026, anchored around Singapore International Water Week (SIWW).
This delegation is designed to help Canadian water technology and solution providers explore opportunities in Singapore, Malaysia, and Vietnam, while building connections across the wider Indo-Pacific region. It is intended for companies looking to enter these markets or expand their presence.
Participants will benefit from TCS support through market briefings, targeted business-to-business (B2B) meetings, and introductions to utility operators, industrial end users and public sector stakeholders.
A core part of the delegation will take place in Singapore, where delegates will participate in SIWW 2026, including the exhibition and conference program. SIWW is a leading international event that brings together government leaders, utilities, technology providers, developers and investors to share innovations in water treatment, wastewater management, desalination, smart water systems, and climate resilient infrastructure.
The delegation will also include a visit to Malaysia, with activities linked to the Johor–Singapore Special Economic Zone (JS SEZ). Delegates will learn about current and planned water treatment, wastewater, and desalination projects, and meet with water utilities and project stakeholders in Johor.
The final part of the delegation will take place in Vietnam, with a visit to Ho Chi Minh City. There, delegates will meet local utilities, operators and industrial stakeholders, and gain insight into Vietnam’s growing water and wastewater market and demand for advanced solutions.
The program will draw on the TCS network across the Indo Pacific. Participants will have opportunities to connect with Trade Commissioners from markets such as:
- Brunei
- India
- Indonesia
- the Philippines
- South Korea
- Thailand
This regional engagement will help companies gain market insight, make new connections and pursue opportunities beyond the delegation.
