Event description

The Three Seas Initiative focuses on strategic connectivity including energy, transport, and digital infrastructure across 13 European Union (EU) member states: 

  • Austria
  • Bulgaria
  • Croatia
  • Czech Republic
  • Estonia
  • Greece
  • Hungary
  • Latvia
  • Lithuania
  • Poland
  • Romania
  • Slovakia
  • Slovenia

The initiative also includes 3 associated participating countries (Ukraine, Moldova and Montenegro), with the United States, Japan, the European Commission, and Germany involved as strategic partners.  

Expected attendees at the Summit include:

  • business leaders, Heads of State, Prime Ministers, and Ministers from the 13 EU member and associated states
  • high-level delegations from partner countries (US, Japan, Germany, Turkey, Spain)
  • international financial institutions
  • and senior EU Commission leadership

Member states will present strategic projects at the summit with the goal of attracting partners, financing and EU funding.  

Croatia will assume the rotating presidency of the Three Seas Initiative (3SI) in 2026 and has invited Canada to participate in the Business Forum held alongside the annual international summit. The Business Forum will take place from April 28 to 29 and is expected to attract approximately 900 participants. With support from the Embassy of Canada, participating companies will have opportunities to engage with political decision-makers, attend high-level panel discussions, and take part in business-to-business (B2B) meetings. The Embassy in Zagreb has also secured dedicated meeting space and a block of hotel rooms at a preferred rate. Several regional trade commissioners will be in attendance to support Canadian participants.

    • nuclear
    • geothermal
  • transport (including high-speed rail) 
  • ports and logistics 
  • ditigal infrastructure (including critical infrastructure protection)

  • Networking opportunities: Join TCS-hosted networking sessions to connect with key industry players, government representatives, and global leaders, fostering collaborations that support international growth.
