C2MP: Canada-Chicago Mentoring Program

Who should apply:

Canadian entrepreneurs and innovators with a product or technology in the life sciences or healthcare sector who are looking to expand into the U.S. market and would benefit from mentorship and guidance to refine their go-to-market strategy.

Event description

The Trade Commissioner Service is partnering with MATTER, the leading life sciences/healthcare incubator in Chicago, to provide strategic guidance via team-based mentoring to 5 Canadian start-ups. If selected, you will participate in a 6-month mentoring program that includes:

  • a virtual Day of Acceleration
  • monthly meetings with your dedicated mentoring team
  • educational workshops
  • a pitch presentation in Chicago at the end of the program

This program is hybrid, with virtual or in-person meetings anticipated from November 2026 to April 2027 and at least one mandatory visit to Chicago in June 2027.

All applicants will be qualified by a vetting committee.   • Business-to-business (B2B) matchmaking: The TCS organizes curated B2B meetings, connecting Canadian companies with international partners, investors, and clients to explore new business opportunities.
  • Networking opportunities: Join TCS-hosted networking sessions to connect with key industry players, government representatives, and global leaders, fostering collaborations that support international growth.
