The Trade Commissioner Service (TCS) at the Embassy of Canada to Mexico, in collaboration with Health Emergency Readiness Canada (HERC) will support a Canadian business delegation to Mexico City, focused on the pharmaceuticals and biopharmaceutical subsectors.
As one of the fastest-growing life sciences markets in Latin America with a robust manufacturing base, Mexico continues to make significant investments to build up its pharmaceutical biotechnology sectors. These developments are combined with a strong political desire to strengthen health sovereignty and a rapidly modernizing regulatory regime. The country serves as a strategic gateway to North American and broader Latin American markets, supported by strong regulatory frameworks and extensive trade linkages.
Mexican stakeholders increasingly seeking collaboration opportunities with international partners include:
- pharmaceutical companies
- contract development and manufacturing organizations (CDMOs)

- curated networking opportunities, including a Canada-hosted networking reception
- site visits to leading pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical facilities and research institutions
- ongoing support from the Trade Commissioner Service throughout and after the mission
