Deep Tech Canada is recruiting a delegation of Canadian companies and organizations developing advanced technologies for smart and sustainable cities. Priority areas include artificial intelligence, mobility, energy, infrastructure, cybersecurity, urban systems and research-driven deep tech innovation.

Delegates may take part in networking, ecosystem visits and business development programming, as well as potential exhibition, speaking, pitching and matchmaking opportunities. Participation in these activities is subject to organizer selection and availability.

Innovation & Partnership Day

In addition, the TCS in Spain will organize an Innovation & Partnership Day on November 2, designed to help Canadian organizations establish research, innovation, and commercial partnerships in Spain and Europe. This program is open to members of the Deep Tech Canada delegation and other Canadian organizations attending BDTS, Smart City Expo World Congress or Barcelona Cybersecurity Congress, subject to available space.

Activities include:

  • market and ecosystem briefings on innovation opportunities in Spain
  • an overview of Horizon Europe collaboration and funding opportunities
  • partnering and networking sessions with Spanish stakeholders
  • opportunities to connect with potential research, innovation, and commercial partners
  • optional visits to leading research and technology organizations

  • Connect with corporates, investors, research institutions, and public-sector stakeholders
  • Access programming across BDTS, Smart City Expo World Congress, and Barcelona Cybersecurity Congress
  • Build partnerships to support international growth and collaborative R&D initiatives

How the program works

  • Apply for business-to-business (B2B) matchmaking and pitch platforms: Working closely with BDTS organizers, the TCS will put forward participating Canadian deep tech companies for consideration in the summit’s curated B2B matchmaking and pitch programs. Companies selected by the BDTS organizing team will gain enhanced opportunities to connect with potential investors, customers, and strategic partners.
  • Open innovation challenges: The TCS will facilitate access to ACCIÓ (Catalan Trade and Investment) Open Innovation (in Spanish only) matchmaking platforms, providing participating Canadian companies with opportunities to connect with corporations, public-sector entities, and international partners seeking innovative technology solutions.
  • Pavilion/exhibit: Showcase your company at the Deep Tech Canada Pavillion where your organization can have a booth located in a high-traffic area.
  • Networking opportunities: Join TCS-hosted networking sessions to connect with key industry players, government representatives, and global leaders, fostering collaborations that support international growth.
