Programs and locations

All programs are virtual due to COVID-19; however, as travel restrictions ease, some programs might offer in-person opportunities.

We have CTAs located in thriving tech ecosystems around the world. We tailor each program to the realities of the local market. Before applying, compare our programs to identify which CTA is best for you.

Established in 2013, we are a global business development program offered by Canada's Trade Commissioner Service.

  • Boston
  • New York City
  • San Francisco
  • Silicon Valley
  • Mexico
  • Berlin; Munich
  • United Kingdom
  • Hong Kong
  • Taipei
  • Tokyo
  • Singapore
  • India

CTAs help participants maximize their time in market and provide them with the most relevant and impactful support possible. There are no participation costs associated with the CTA program, aside from travel and accommodation expenses.

While CTAs vary in length and in format (virtual or in-market), all participating companies benefit from:

  • access to a vast network of trade commissioners
  • coaching and mentorship from industry leaders
  • support to refine international business and market-entry strategies
  • introductions to potential partners and clients
  • introductions to investors and venture capitalists
  • a collaborative workspace (where available)

Canadian companies may be eligible to receive financial support from the CanExport program to help cover costs related to CTA participation. Discover funding and support programs for doing international business.
