Meet Eva, your virtual assistant from the Trade Commissioner Service (TCS). Powered by artificial intelligence (AI), Eva is available anytime to help you find information about doing business around the world.

Eva can answer questions related to topics such as:

  • registering for trade events
  • funding and financing programs
  • exporting products and services
  • finding information about markets and industries
  • contacting the TCS
  • resolving common issues when doing business outside Canada
  • tools and services provided by us and our partners

Beta version and gradual rollout

Eva is currently a beta version, meaning some of its answers and features may be improved in future updates.

How Eva answers your questions

Submit a query into the text field to ask Eva a question. Follow these tips to get better results:

  • ask one question at a time 
  • use clear, specific language 
  • include details (like your industry or market)
  • refine your question or use different keywords if you don’t get the info you’re looking for right away

Eva will provide instant, relevant answers pulled from our website or from select Government of Canada websites. Its answers may reference links, guides, or tools based on your needs. If your question is complex, our virtual assistant can point you to the right contact page or service to get help.

You may submit as many queries as you need during your session. However, Eva will not save your chat for future sessions.

How to report an issue or a bug

To provide feedback or report a bug, type and submit “feedback” or “survey” within the virtual assistant to load our user survey. This will allow you to rate your experience and provide detailed comments. Do not include any personal information in your comments.

You may also reach us through our general contact form. Provide as much detail as possible in the Questions / Comments box and we will respond within 5 business days.

Personal or confidential questions

Do not share personal, sensitive, or confidential information with Eva. Contact us directly for help with specific or confidential questions.
