Event description

Held in Calgary, Canada’s energy hub, Global Energy Show Canada (GES) is the premier business-to-business (B2B) exhibition and conference for the energy sector. It brings together industry leaders, innovators, and stakeholders to address global energy challenges and showcase Canada’s leadership in the energy transition. 

The event covers a wide range of energy systems, highlighting the importance of a diversified approach to meeting global energy demand, including:

  • oil sands
  • hydrogen
  • wind
  • solar
  • petrochemicals
  • liquefied natural gas (LNG)
  • electrification
  • nuclear

It serves as a platform for showcasing innovative solutions and fostering collaboration to tackle global challenges with real-world impact.

The Canadian Trade Commissioner Service (TCS) will participate in the show to help Canadian companies connect with international markets. Participants will gain access to international buyers and Trade Commissioners from key markets. Companies will be presented with valuable insights and opportunities to establish meaningful business connections.

GES 2025

At last year’s event, the TCS facilitated over 700 meetings, including business-to-business, trade commissioner-to-business, and partner-to-business. Over 100 international delegates and buyers from nine countries participated, along with more than 200 Canadian companies.

The TCS also organized and collaborated with a range of partners on several events held alongside GES, with anemphasis on export market diversification. TCS-supported activities included:

  • daily TCS-led panels at the Emissions Reduction Theatre
  • TCS partnership and participation in the Canadian Council for the Americas Energy Breakfast

  • Business-to-business (B2B) matchmaking: The TCS organizes curated B2B meetings, connecting Canadian companies with international partners, investors, and clients to explore new business opportunities.
  • Export Café: Attend individual meetings with Trade Commissioners from different international markets.
