Singapore Artificial Intelligence in healthcare - Canadian Technology Accelerator
With its National Artificial Intelligence (AI) Strategy 2.0 updated in late 2023, Singapore is becoming a global leader in adopting of AI in the healthcare sector. The Ministry of Health (MOH) has committed approximately C$200M over the next five years to integrate more AI technologies into the healthcare system.
From solutions such as Singapore Eye Lesion Analyser (SELENA+) that detects signs of diabetic retinopathy disease, to an AI model that transcribes 'Singlish' to emergency responders, these technologies aim to address broader challenges such as an ageing population, rising medical costs, and a healthcare labour shortage.
